From the Palantir! A Real-Life Unicorn Spotted? Plus, Why Nic Cage’s Movies All Suck

Posted on 07 October 2010 by Brent Hartinger, Editor

  • Oh, man, oh man, the latest trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader looks really cool!

  • How did I not know that Comic-Con New York starts tomorrow? A preview.
  • A podcast with George R.R. Martin. What does “genius” sound like?
  • A book all about the music of The Lord of the Rings. There are much worse uses for paper.
  • This one made me laugh out loud multiple times. Why do Nicolas Cage’s movies all suck?

um… notice how the horse stays perfectly level while its “running” across the field? Do unicorns float?

Nah, that’s just a horse with a horn. Everybody knows unicorns have lions’ tails, harts’ legs, and goats’ beards. Maybe that one’s half-unicorn and half-horse?

I really wanted to go to NY ComicCon/Anime Fest (they’re combined this year). Damn my lack of funds! Hopefully next year will be better and I hope Bruce Campbell will be back so I can get an autograph (even if it does cost an extra $40).
