The Harry Potter/Twilight Trivia That Stumped the Experts!

Posted on 01 April 2009 by Brent Hartinger, Editor

At last week’s Harry Potter/Twilight Debate sponsored by Seattle’s Team Read Literacy Program, audience members were quizzed on various trivia questions from the books. But there were several questions that were deemed too difficult for the event.

Think you can answer them? Here they are:

Ultimate Harry Potter Trivia:

1. How many horcruxes did Voldemort make?
2. What are the distinct markings on Minerva McGonagall’s animagus form?
3. Where are bezoars naturally found?

Ultimate Twilight Trivia:

1. Who was the third vampire to join Carlisle Cullen’s coven?
2. Where does Alice meet Jasper for the first time?
3. How many humans has Rosalie killed?

Finally, there is one Harry Potter question that stumped the standing-room-only audience of many rabid Potter fans:

What is the most dangerous creature in the Harry Potter universe? (hint, it’s not a death eater)

    How EASY!!! I didn’t get a one. :-(

  2. Remi says:

I knew all the Harry Potter ones…and none of the twilight.
    Odd. No really…

Afaik the last ultimate HP question isn’t in the series tho, which makes it…meh?

  3. Rigato says:

A bezoar is a stone found in the stomach of predators or prey that cannot chew to help grind up food. Goats also swallow them to help with digestion, while others such as crocodiles may use them for ballasts during swimming. Dinosaurs used them to grind up food further in the stomach and aid digestion.
In medieval times they were supposed to help cure poisoning by sucking on said rock, while things like charcoal accomplished this much better :P

But I knew that from…well…random research done in my childhood. Not Harry Potter.

  4. Rigato says:

Oh, and the last HP question is in the series, movie and book
First book, Harry’s first potion class. Goes down like this?

Snape: And can you tell me, Mr. Potter, where to find a bezoar?

    Potter: …..

Hermoine: ~hand strains to touch cieling~

      I was referring to:
What is the most dangerous creature in the Harry Potter universe? (hint, it’s not a death eater)

  6. dreamflyer says:

Wow, I actually got all the first Harry Potter ones and all bar one of the Twilight ones. And I haven’t read them in AGES! I have never heard of the deadliest creature in HP. Hmm.
I got the one about how many humans Rosalie has killed wrong. I should have remembered. Oh well.

  7. Jay Henderson says:

Don’t know jack about Twilight and don’t intend to. But I knew the HP questions. One issue: I don’t believe the answer to the first HP question is correct. I believe Voldemort intended to make “six” horcruxes in order to split his soul into “seven” parts (because 7 was a powerful number in magic). He inadvertently made Harry a horcrux, meaning there were “seven” horcruxes which split his soul into “eight” parts. Am I missing one?

    Horcruxes:

    diary (first attempt)
    ring (family heirloom)
    locket (Slytherin)
    cup (Hufflepuff)
    tiara (Ravenclaw)
    Nagini (his snake familiar)

plus Harry (which ended up giving him Gryffindor after all)

  8. BELLA says:

i got every twilight question right they’re so easy!

  9. alexis says:
